John R. Green, aged 55 years, died last night at his home in Smartsburg after a painful illness. The deceased was a well known and worthy citizen and leaves a wife and five daughters, three married and two single, to mourn him. One of his daughters is Mrs. Jacob White of this city. Funeral at Smartsburg Church tomorrow at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Odd Fellows’ Cemetery, under auspices of I.O.O.F.
